Ms Fikha Adelia
refu+ure Indonesia, UIN Jakarta
Professional Bio
Fikha is a visual art graduate studying global migration, particularly refugee and forced migration. God's Willing, I founded, works, and learns at refu+ure Indonesia, a non-profit organization that strives to elevate the lives of refugee and Indonesian youths through creativity and education. She acts as a librarian for refu+library, a tutor for refu+school: storytelling, and a digital painter and illustrator for refu+studio, refu+ure's creative colony. My research focuses around volunteers, social workers, grassroots organisation, and educational institutions working for, and with, host societies and refugees, seeking the best practice for the context in Indonesia. On several days, I discuss about refugees, migration, citizenship, population, culture, visual, methods, and beyond in university; managing events; participating in movements; and building a social lab.
