Organised Panel Submission Guidelines
Panels can be proposed by an individual or sponsored by an institution, and should consist of four paper presenters and a chair. Proposals should include:
The name of the panel chair
A panel title and a 150-word panel abstract
A title, 150-word abstract and author details for each of the four papers to be presented
Proposals for a stream of panels are welcome, but each panel will be assessed on its own merits.

Please find below instructions on how to complete the different sections of the submission form during the call for papers period.
Please read these instructions carefully to ensure that your submission is received in good order.
Before you start:
An organised panel should consist of 4 paper presenters plus a chairperson.
Does your organised panel have 4 (four) paper presenters plus one additional chair? (5 people total)
Does your panel have a title and 150 word abstract?

Begin by creating an account / logging in to your account Click “Log In” on the top right of the ICOC 2025 website. This works best on a laptop or desktop. If you already have an account please login using “Log In to Your Account”. >> Proceed to the next step 2. Submission Info.
If you do not already have an account, please instead fill out the section under “Create Your Account” (it may display on the right or below the other section). Fill out these details (title, names, email/s and password).
Click “Create Account”
You will be prompted to provide optional further information such as photo, bio etc but these are optional. You can proceed by scrolling to the end of the page and clicking “Update My Account”.
Submission Info
Start your submission by clicking on one of the following (all go to the same page):
“Abstract Submission” (top navigation bar) “Abstract Submission” (left navigation bar) “Submit an abstract” (main home page centre of screen) Review the information about the conference and the broad themes. Proceed to the bottom of the screen and click “Submit Organised Panel Abstract”. Review the information about organised panel submissions.
Click “Submit Organised Panel Abstract” Submission name: enter the title of your organised panel here Submission description/overview: enter the abstract for the organised panel here (maximum 150 words)
Submission Type Select your submission type from the dropdown menu: Organised Panel. Themes
Select the conference theme most appropriate to your panel. Select one theme only.
Submission Contributors Under “Author Type”, confirm your role, i.e. Organised Panel Convenor Confirm that you will be presenting by selecting “yes” Include your personal details (title, name, email and institution if applicable).
Now you’ll be adding the following information:
1. Panel chairperson details (1 person) 2. Panel contributor details (4 persons) 3. Paper 1 title 4. Paper 1 abstract 5. Paper 2 title 6. Paper 2 abstract 7. Paper 3 title 8. Paper 3 abstract 9. Paper 4 title 10. Paper 4 abstract
Start by entering the details of the panel chairperson (1 person) Then enter the names and details of panel paper contributors (4 persons, excluding panel chair) For each paper provide the title and abstract.
Repeat this for all 4 paper titles and 4 paper abstracts.
Please DO NOT use the “Add Presenter” button at the end of this section
Please detail any and all conflicts of interest Take time to carefully and diligently consider any potential conflicts of interest that might arise relating to you, your institution, your affiliations and your topic and its presenters/speakers.
Acceptance Questions Please complete the acceptance questions and ensure you have read the terms and conditions via the link.
Submit Click the submit button to submit your organised panel proposal.

We may be fielding numerous questions so please allow 2-3 business days for a response. We strongly recommend you commence your abstract submission at least 1 week before the Call for Papers deadline to avoid last minute problems.
